4 stars (Very Good) Shows how a curious reporter can identify with her subjects. Stunning acting, but it glamorizes the lives of student prostitutes. Reality is grimmer. Read Moravia's "The Women of Rome" for better insights or even "The World of Suzie Wong" ~Sandy
4 stars (Very Good) A subtle film. No diatribe from a militant feminist viewpoint; much style with moments of psychic pain. A professional woman with a deadline, a sexist husband and a demanding son. She sees herself in the whores: they confront what they could have been. ~Cruella
