Age of Reason, The
Aroview: A frazzled career woman at breaking point reconnects with her childhood in this soul-searching romantic comedy.
More melodramatic, and less blackly comic than dir. Samuell's previous hit, LOVE ME IF YOU DARE, the film is little more than a glossy vehicle for Sophie Marceau, though will more than satisfy the Franco-cosmopolitan crowd. Co-starring Kiwi Marton Csokas as Marceau's British beau.

3 stars (Good Enough) Sophie holds the film together - hard to dislike. ~Tubbs
1 star (Turkey) Sophie Marceau plays a rather unlikeable character well. I found the jokey, contrived "memories" strangely facile & contrived. Even in this Beldgian idea of a "comedy". Comedies can have a fantastic element but this is wholly unconvincing. ~Sandy
