Deeply felt tribute to sci-fi monster movies of the '50s is clearly a labour of love for dir. Goodwin with pitch perfect period detail right down to some atrocious cardigans. This affectionate recreation is played completely straight and as such is somewhat disconcerting, some viewers may wonder if they're meant to laugh, others will just be glad it was made at all.

3 stars (Good Enough) Without much margin for error the screenplay succeeds. It is aided by some spot on periodic set designs and wardrobe. The aliens are enjoyable. ~Tubbs
