Great New Wonderful, The

Aroview: New York City drama centered around five interweaving stories all of which exhibit a distinctive characteristic of a changing society post-911.

This manages to be a decent ensemble piece despite the vague concept, all the characters playing the realistic tensions and neuroses of the post 9/11 New Yorker with accuracy and subtlety. Maggie Gyllenhaal as a ruthless cake decorator is particularly good.
