Aroview: Creepy excursion has a teenage pyromaniac (Bruckner) sent to girls' school located deep in the malign woods of 1960s New England, which is possibly administered by a coven of witches.

Borrowing heavily from the likes of SUSPIRIA, this benefits from dir. McKee's (MAY) knowing variations on the themes and a performance of understated menace from Patricia Clarkson (SIX FEET UNDER) as the headmistress. Even if seasoned horror fans will know the moves, it goes deeper and darker than most casual teen horrors.
