House of Wax

Aroview: A remake only in name of Vincent Price's 1953 classic, this brutal excursion has a group of young victims have a car breakdown in a 'forgotten' and seemingly abandoned small town.

Wandering into the local wax museum (!) filled with lifelike figures, they eventually fall prey to a pair of sadistic, snaggle-toothed rednecks and their boltcutters and over-sized cutlery. Unreconstructed horror, with a gleefully gory streak, this lingers over its carnage and buxom female anatomy with disreputable glee.
