Aroview: Adapted from a cheerily hardboiled novel by Elmore Leonard, this sees petty-crim Wilson washing up in Hawaii, when a tempting swindle lands in his lap.
Acting as a dogsbody for a retired judge (Freeman), he gets involved with a bikini-clad femme fatale who has a lucrative plan hatching. Like dir. Armitage's other films, this is lazily balanced between suspense and comedy and may well find you in the right mood. Note: Leonard's book was also filmed in 1969.
