Aroview: This sequel to the stylish GET SHORTY has a certain snap in its step, with the resourceful wiseguy Chili Palmer (Travolta) back after almost a decade, this time burned by Hollywood and setting his sights on the Los Angeles music industry.

Soon he has hooked onto the coat-tails of a second-league hiphop crew, with their full share of dysfunctions and loopy personal ambitions, (and connections to Aerosmith). From a novel penned by Elmore Leonard, this transplants enough of the master's dialogue and quirky character spins to remain watchable, though can't quite survive the inevitable comparisions.
