Sisterhood

UK / New Zealand 2008, 90 minutes
Dir. Richard Wellings-Thomas
Rating: [M]
Genres: Comedy

Aroview: Ex-pat Kiwi Emily Corcoran wrote and stars in her own Brit-com, playing a Kiwi girl who travels to England to surprise her long lost sister with the news that their father isn't dead. Struggling to bond, the siblings set off in search for their deadbeat dad.

Budget constraints make this an uneven affair, with opportunities perhaps lost through awkward plot contrivances, but Corcoran proves an engaging lead performer.

"...will appeal to viewers who like stories about female bonding against the odds and also quite a few who generally don't, as it also contains a fair amount of wacky comedy, toilet humour and, occasionally, genuinely inspired silliness." - Eye For Film
