Aro Favourite Lonely Are The Brave

USA 1962, 107 minutes, Black and white
Dir. David Miller
Genres: Classics, Suspense/Crime / Western

Aroview: Kirk Douglas is on top form in this Dalton Trumbo-penned 'psychological' Western, playing an anti-establishment cowboy who purposefully gets chucked into prison in order to rescue a friend, only to find his friend doesn't want to be rescued.

A jarring clash with modern life - Douglas' idiosyncratic figure is frequently pictured against modern technology - characterizes the highly symbolic, and ultimately affecting, story.
