Aroview: Featuring probably Bogart's first classic role, this adaptation of the Robert Sherwood play is set in a remote diner in Arizona where a fugitive gangster (Bogart) holes up a group of hostages. Although a little stagey and over-literary, it remains enjoyably tense.

2 stars (Good Try) Bette and Howard are in fine form and play off each other very well. Its a good script and not too long which helps you cope with the lack of movement in the surroundings and characters.~tubbs
