Caine plays a crime-writer who is commissioned to ghost-write the autobiography of an obnoxious Hollywood actor (Rooney), who shortly afterwards winds up dead in his Maltese mansion. Sardonic humour is a treat.

2 stars (Good Try) Quirky and episodic, this is amusing but feels like they started shooting with an unfinished script and never figured out an ending. The cast is fun especially Lionel Stander as a cheerful goon. ~Pearce
