Aroview: A lasting symbol of stock-market excess, British broker Nick Leeson (Ewan McGregor), he who brought down Baring's Bank after losing nine-figure sums for it in the early 90s, gets off fairly lightly in this account, presumably because it's based on his autobiography. McGregor plays the role with shallow, throwaway charm, tracing Leeson's parabola from lower-class Watford to the business circles of Asia, then down to prison.
