Dir. Doug Liman
Rating: [R18]
Genres: Comedy, Drama / Independent, Youth

Topics: Drugs & Alcohol.

Aroview: The director of SWINGERS switches focus to the reckless chic of LA's twentysomething rave scene, brandishing a slew of racy taboos, an impossibly cool soundtrack, and the next wave of hot young things.

Compensating any lack of substance with adrenalized pacing and a glitzy visual/aural component, its scroll-back-the-action plot structure (ala PULP FICTION) reveals three simultaneous experiences on the night of a Christmas rave that converge in (semi)unexpected ways the following morning. Best story for our money is the last involving a drug sting run by a dubious police narc.
