Aroview: Rodriguez' big-budget blow up of his cult hit EL MARIACHI, with Latino golden-boy Antonio Banderas as the vengeance-bent guitar-player posturing through a string of super-stylish action scenes that come off somewhere between John Woo, a Levi's commercial and Tarantino chic.

		- 4 stars (Very Good) Even better than El Mariachi, although on a far greater budget this time around, Desperado will have you laughing from your seat at the ridiculously over-the-top action sequences, complete with flame-throwing and rocket-launching guitar cases. ~Tom H
- 2 stars (Good Try) It doesn't get better than the opening scene courtesy of Steve Buscemi. ~Tubbs
