It might be lacking the stylistic bravado of Metzger's latter works, but is delicately structured and surprisingly affecting for all its earnestness. Fairly boundary-pushing for its time, this works around its lack of explicitness with an erotically-charged voiceover that fills in the 'off-screen' action.
