Aroview: Spot-on Blaxpoitation homage with the superfly Black Dynamite out for vengeance when "The Man" kills his brother and floods his 'hood with laced malt liquor. He gonna git that sucka!
In the same way that PLANET TERROR deftly aped the look-and-feel of 80's 'grindhouse', so does this for 70's B-movies, and it wisely keeps its comic cool to let the audience do the laughing. Not just the one-note gimmick it could have been, this has a plot to speak of, many quotable lines, and fine performances led by the charismatic Michael Jai White (also the co-writer) who is a natural fit as one baadasssss brother. A treat for cult movie lovers.
