Aroview: Oh the humanity! Doomsday specialist Roland Emmerich renders the disaster movie redundant with this senseless, all-or-nothing schlockbuster, compiling a greatest hits of unstoppable natural catastrophes (tsunamis, super volcanos, mega earthquakes) to decimate the human race. John Cusack and co. make a beeline for a Chinese-built ‘Noah’s Ark’ in the hope they’ll outlive the armageddon, as predicted by the centuries-old Mayan calendar.

		- 2 stars (Good Try) Emmerich remaking 'The Day After Tomorrow', which I prefer, with more and biggerer explosions, once again reuniting the family and destroying the world. Highlights: Platt chewing the scenery, Billingsley's gloomy professor. ~HiFi
- 2 stars (Good Try) Most of the special effects were okay but the screenplay gets a bit silly. The finale takes up half the film. ~Tubbs
