Aroview: Kevin Spacey’s pot-smoking, chronically depressed psychiatrist is at the centre of this sprawling L.A. story, which attempts to unearth the dark side of Tinsletown through a series interconnected characters and their personal ordeals.

Channeling MAGNOLIA, but with coincidences far more contrived and overreaching than the P.T. Anderson film, this is ultimately another case of Hollywood turning the camera on itself, with at least one outrageous, piss-taking cameo amidst all the insufferable navel gazing: Robin Williams, uncredited, playing a drunken, sex-addicted comedian.
