Aroview: A fiercely-mounted early history of Genghis Khan, from the Mongol leader’s childhood years through to his all-conquering warpath across Asia.

Polished, panoramic production values and weighty battle scenes qualify this as a BRAVEHEART-category epic, with artistic license and stirring melodrama rousing the on-screen spectacle. Japanese star Tadanobu Asano plays the Mongol founder (referred to as Temudgin during his earlier reign) with authority and presence, in what is the first of a proposed trilogy on the life of times of the Khan.
