Aroview: Exotic adaptation of Marguerite Duras' autobiographical novel charting an illicit affair between a 15-year-old French school-girl and a Chinese aristocrat in '20s Indo-China. Their lusty romps leaves little to the imagination, too bad the script didn't receive the same attention. In English.

		- 4 stars (Very Good) Sensuous film based Duras' youth in Vietnam. The truth of the affair was humdrum. Perhaps this doesn't matter if movies are about fantasies? Films like India Song that Duras directed herself are better, but this beautiful production is pretty slick. ~Sandy
- 3 stars (Good Enough) The films location shooting is 5 star. The indoor screenplay is pretty ordinary however, and it is a pity that everything wasn't shot outdoors, even if this meant launching a mattress on the Mekong. ~Tubbs
