Aroview: A thoughtful though heavy-handed thriller about an intelligently amoral Ukrainian-American (Cage), who dedicates himself to the world firearms trade, particularly in bringing the 'splendours' of modern weaponry to Third World dictators and rebels.

Stitched together with a mordant voiceover and globe-trotting montages, Kiwi-born dir. Niccol delivers a free-wheeling storyline in which Cage does deals, gradually expands his empire, acquires trophies (such as Moynahan) and gracefully evades the attentions of Interpol agents (Hawke).
