Aroview: Katie Holmes scrubs up nicely as the daughter of the US President heading off to college for an inexperienced taste of freedom, inevitably getting into a few spots of bother and youthful romance, both politically damaging for father, the Prez (Keaton).

Dir. by actor Forest Whitaker, this whips up the usual comic popcorn about destiny, choice, love etc. but apart from a few sparky scenes, plays it resolutely safe. Only Holmes fans should leap without checking first.
