Hello fellow film fan,
AroVideo is delighted to announce that we have acquired the New Zealand distribution rights to Utu Redux on DVD and Blu-Ray, which we are releasing on December 1st through our brand new distribution label, AroMedia.
Utu Redux is the beautifully restored and refined version of the 1983 classic that premiered at the 2013 NZ International Film Festival. It tells a powerful - and still relevant - story of betrayal and justice in 1870’s colonial New Zealand, and is widely regarded as the most ambitious and culturally significant film in our country’s history.
In addition to the standard DVD and 2-disc Special Editions on DVD and Blu-Ray (as pictured below) we are offering AroVideo customers a strictly limited 3-disc edition that features Gaylene Preston’s Making Utu plus an exclusive bonus CD soundtrack. The first 50 of these will be personally signed by director Geoff Murphy (whose biography has just been released - available from the good folk at Unity Books).
We can also offer a 10% pre-order discount on all editions (except the 3-disc set) for orders received before the release date, so don’t delay, click here to place your order.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
All editions are "region free", which means that they are compatible with all disc players around the world. International pre-sale orders will be dispatched on or before the release date of Dec 1 to ensure timely delivery before Christmas.
EDUCATIONAL ORDERS
We accept Purchase Orders (paid on invoice) from all existing and new educational and library clients within New Zealand. Simply enter your PO number into the relevant field at our online checkout.
SUPPORT UTU ON FACEBOOK
Being our first release of what we hope will be many, we would love you to help make it a success by spreading the word. So if you can bring it up in general conversation, forward this e-mail to a friend or share the link through the AroVideo or Utu Redux Facebook pages, it would be awesome!
