Night We Called it a Day, The

USA 2003, 92 minutes
Dir. Paul Goldman
Rating: [M]

Aroview: Middling though unusual comedy, set around a 'scandalous' incident when Frank Sinatra attempted to tour Australia in the early 1970s.

Accosted by reporters on arrival, he succeeded in alienating them so utterly (calling one a "two dollar whore"), that he ended up besieged in his hotel room. Hopper does a fair impersonation as 'ol' blue eyes', though some extraneous subplotting leaves this rather out of tune overall.
