Aroview: An interesting, serious-minded revision of the Camelot legend, recasting Arthur (Owen) as a half-Roman mercenary who, with his comrades, enlist the British 'Woads' to fight invading Saxons.

If still awash with messily-staged blockbuster action, this utilises enough rough-textured detail, muddy landscapes and moral ambiguity to provide a decent run through the familiar characters - which nonetheless are given a consistently unfamiliar spin.
