Aroview: Stirring drama based on a true story of a down-and-out racehorse that confounded expectations by turning around the fortunes of three different men and going on to inspire a nation caught in the grip of the Great Depression.

Well-mounted and immaculately groomed, this ode to the underdog might be all-American and self-consciously crowd-pleasing, but remains a good bet for light, satisfying entertainment.
