Warlock

USA 1988, 101 minutes
Dir. Steve Miner
Rating: [M]
Genres: Science Fiction / Adventure, Deviltry, Fantasy

Synopsis: In Boston of 1691, a warlock is sentenced to death, but escapes magically into the future (our present), followed doggedly by the witch hunter. There he is searching for the three parts of the Devil's Bible, trailed by the witch hunter and the woman whose house he landed in. They must stop him, as the book contains the true name of God, which he can use to un-create the world.

“Satan also has one son!”~(Tag Line)

Aroview: Richard E. Grant plays a witch-hunter on the tail of an evil 17th Century Warlock (Julian Sands) in this hammy fantasy adventure that enjoyed a similar '80s cult following to THE HIGHLANDER. The pair square off like a cut-rate Cushing and Lee, with Sands returning as the son of Satan in WARLOCK: THE ARMAGEDDON (1993).
