Synopsis: A young girl is witness to a violent act and the series of injustices that follow in this powerful kitchen sink drama inspired by 'To Kill a Mockingbird'.
Aroview: In Rufus Norris’s artfully constructed drama... there’s a lot to like, not least a striking central performance from newcomer Eloise Laurence. She plays eleven-year-old girl Skunk, the nexus of a cul-de-sac full of households populated by various degrees of dysfunction. The plot does pile things on a bit thick — too thick for credulity — but the film has a dream-like quality that I found quite appealing when I wasn’t being upset. ~ Dan Slevin

3 stars (Good Enough) For a while its hard to understand the relationships of the characters because the film flits back and forward in time. Uneven but there are some very worthwhile scenes and performances.~tubbs
