Monsters vs Aliens
Aroview: Rollicking animated flick in which Reese Witherspoon's "50 Ft. Woman" leads a rag-tag group of 'B-movie' monsters kept secret by the government against invading aliens intent on destroying the Earth.
Adult appreciation for may depend on one's knowledge or love of the creaky drive-in fare of the 1950s, but those that do will chortle with fanboy glee at the inspired references, stonking 3-D action sequences, and 'up-to-the-minute' retro sci-fi design. While it might not have the depth of other recent top-drawer animations, this Dreamworks production's entertainment value competes pixel-for-pixel with its heavyweight Pixar cousins.
Other voicework also from Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Kiefer Sutherland, and Paul Rudd.

3 stars (Good Enough) Okay, but nothing that special. ~dr.strangelove
3 stars (Good Enough) A motley crew of reluctant mutant heroes are recruited to save the earth from the evil alien Gallaxhar. Entertaining enough and not too over-the-top scary for the younger ones. ~GenXGirl
