USA 2008, 111 minutes
Dir. Alexandre Aja
Genres: Horror, Suspense/Crime

Aroview: Sketchy remake of the Korean horror 'Geoul Sokeuro', starring Kiefer Sutherland as an ousted ex-cop turned security officer who begins to see horrifying images in the mirrors of the haunted building he guards.

Looped together by weak plot-devices, the story can't keep up with the grand intentions of the set-pieces, and although Sutherland is on fine enough form, one can't help but miss his 24 counterpart who is is ultimately far more gung ho than the sad-sack we see here. Still, there are a couple of scenes that will stick in the memory, not to mention a clever - if rather overdue - twist in the tale at the end.
