Lost Boys 2: The Tribe

USA 2008, 86 minutes
Dir. P.J. Pesce
Genres: Horror / Youth, Vampires

Topics: Sequelitis.

Aroview: Belated sequel to the 80's blood-letting hit THE LOST BOYS, this time set in a California surf Mecca where a brother and sister get unwittingly sucked into the raging local vampire scene and must choose between eternal life or doing the right thing. 90 minutes of unrelenting eye candy ensues as attractive young vampires partake in hot and steamy rendeavous to satisfy their thirsty cravings while grappling with a painfully tongue-tied script.

Comic relief, intentional or not, comes in the form of a guttural Cory Feldman clearly gifted the best one-liners in his role as the vampire hunter. Though a slick soundtrack and delectable time-lapse photography carry the film through its teething problems this is ultimately a sorry follow-up to its iconic predecessor.
