Aroview: Slowly flickering rural gothic set in South Australia following a man's return to his childhood home and his subsequent descent into guilt-ridden madness and estrangement from his wife and young son.

Low-budget indie is the feature debut of dir. Frayne, who demos good command of cinematic language though it is overly geared toward building 'atmosphere' at the expense of narrative elements. Likewise, cinematographer-writer Nick Matthews' images are much stronger than his script.
