Reuniting Hong Kong legend Donnie Yen and dir. Yip, the pair's second outing (following SPL) poses a quite different, if recklessly enjoyable, martial arts experience, propelled not so much by tactile street combat, as it is stylised, CGI-enhanced choreography. Further embellished by impulsive visuals and wild East-Asian fashions, this resolutely adheres to the outlandish manga source material to which it is based.
