Aroview: One of the supreme TV events of the 1980s, this epic adaptation of Paul Scott's novels 'The Raj Quartet' is set in 1930-40s India: the 'jewel in the crown' of the British Empire.

Portraying a series of different characters and their personal struggles against the epic backdrop of Britain's waning power, this requires a few episodes to take hold, but is compelling viewing from then on. Filmed on location, with a wonderful cast, this is a not easily forgotten colonial soap-opera.
