Aroview: Gung-ho revenge vehicle set in backwoods America, showcasing the dumb-smart style of rising action star The Rock as a 'Special Forces' vet who returns to his hometown to clear out the scum.

Remaking a 'hixploitation' cheapie from the 1970s (which later became a short-lived TV series), this has a distinctly musty tone, saved somewhat by some entertaining bone-crunching in which The Rock goes to work on the lowlifes with a large wooden club. JACKASS star Knoxville provides some welcome, tongue-in-cheek comic relief.
