Aroview: The recent discovery of 800 rolls of early nitrate film on a building site proved a rare cinematic find - turning out to be documentary footage taken by the British filmmakers Sagar Mitchell and James Kenyon between 1900 and 1913.

Unusual for recording the life, work and play of ordinary Britishers in this period, this newly restored material now comprises an extraordinary window into the world 'beyond the newsreels'. Assembled into a three part documentary by the British Film Institute, this contains ample original footage, while also unreeling the story of Mitchell and Kenyon's creative partnership.

Episode 1 - Life and Times
Episode 2 - Sport and Pleasure
Episode 3 - Saints and Sinners
