Aroview: The dir. of THE LAST KISS constructs an equally heightened melodrama about the saga of a middle-class Italian family, their various personal dilemmas and the disquieting effects of dreams postponed.

Although not astoundingly original, this still catches a convincing struggle of wills, and actress Morante steals every scene she is in with a compellingly frazzled performance.
