The six-part series traces the evolution of popular music - from the bodgies and widgies of the '50s, through the mods, the hippies, the punks, right up to the hip hop kids of the 21st century. Presents a mix of interviews, news archive and music clips in the telling of the stories of the bands, songwriters and entrepreneurs and the role they played in creating the soundtrack to New Zealanders' lives over the past 45 years.
