Andy Goldsworthy - Rivers and Tides

Aroview: Visually beautiful, though essentially straightforward documentary on the Scottish landscape sculptor Andy Goldsworthy, who creates his work out of leaves, rocks, snow and the very processes of nature.

Softly-spoken and intuitive in his ideas, Goldsworthy's sculptures are delightfully simple, often ephemeral and impermanent, yet obsessively concerned with recurring forms and motifs. Whether or not all viewers will be convinced by his claims to 'Art', seeing the man in action, struggling to erect his precarious driftwood, stick and slate structures is curiously compelling.
