Down and Out With the Dolls

Aroview: Based around the rise and fall of an all-grrl goth-rock band in early 1990s Portland, Oregon, this packs enough scene authenticity to distinguish in a genre that so often misses the mark.

A foursome of variously talented musicians and grunge socialites, The Paper Dolls scrape by with day-jobs and dreams of stardom and hang out at their clubroom 'The Dollhouse'. Stumbles over a few cliches on its way, but mostly carries the tune.
