Fool for Love

Aroview: One of dir. Altman's ambitious stageplay adaptations, this largely succeeds in bringing Sam Shepard's brand of 'surreal Americana' to life.

This centres around the semi-incestuous relationship between a half-brother (played by Shepard himself) and sister, who rendezvous in a motel room in the Mojave desert. Impressively melds dreamlike elements to its melodramatic dialogue.
