Aroview: A showbiz epic centred round the life of vaudeville impressario Florence Ziegfeld, who rose to prominence after the 1893 Chicago World Fair and went on to 'invent' Broadway. Encompassing his tempetuous career, lovelife and business rivalries, this scores for extravagance, but is a little lacking in the smaller, human, qualities.

3 stars (Good Enough) Overlong biography but the dance numbers are at times top drawer and worth waiting for. ~Tubbs
