Rage in Placid Lake, The

Aroview: Tale of an eccentric bullied teenager, this mordant comedy executes its satire of abnormality without mercy.

The titular Lake (Ben Lee) progresses through a life of school beatings, half-craving a normal life and half-rejecting the absurdities of such a course. Based on the dir.s own stageplay, this struggles at times to hold a satisfying tone, but avoids cliche sufficiently to remain an engaging one-off.
