Aroview: Overblown actioner in which scientists discover that the Earth's core will soon stop spinning, unleashing a wave of natural catastrophes.

Equipping themselves with a gigantic drill-bit, Swank and her helpers prepare to inject nuclear bombs into the molten centre as a solution. Dispenses with credibility fairly early on, instead substituting impressive scenes of major planetwide destruction, oddball one-liners and taut-faced grimaces.

3 stars (Good Enough) Stupidest movie, ever! But kind of fun...and I could feel the hand of Irwin Allen guiding it all from beyond the grave. PS somebody should have told the filmmakers that for shenanigans of this order the presence of Oliver Platt is de rigueur. ~HiFi
