Emphasizing atmosphere over action with a quaint(!) synthesizer score, this memorable Anime feature of the 1980s has an unusual vampire story with charismatic characters - “D” is the strong, silent “spaghetti western” archetype while vampire lord Magnus Lee doesn't fall victim to old “Dracula” clichés.
