Aroview: An expertly written and delivered WWII adventure, where a small squad of US soldiers, headed by Steve McQueen, must hold off an advancing German division.

Directed at the last minute by Siegel, this turned out as a slowly paced, but quite convincing study of the ruthlessness and nightmarishness of hard combat. Also distinguished by its cast, which includes Bobby Darin in an great comic part and a rare movie appearance from Bob Newhart.
