Beach Blanket Bingo

Aroview: Most successful and best known of the ‘Beach Party’ movies, though it shows signs of being fifth in a series by straying quite a way from the beach into skydiving and mermaid shenanigans.

Squeaky-clean youth picture is so corny it hurts in places, but Paul Lynde is a scene-stealer as a cynical record executive, and the ‘scene’ looks spectacular in widescreen technicolour.
