Aroview: With its drab mid-1980s Ohio setting, complete with pastel clothing, Boy George-inspired haircuts and Bronksi Beat music, this puts a realistic spin on the 'coming-out' tale of its teenage hero Thomas Arklie. Rough-around-the-edges, with a convincing, sometimes cringe-inducing honesty.
