Aroview: Throwback to the heyday of the 'religious horror film' of the 1970s (see THE EXORCIST, THE OMEN), this dense thriller has atheist Patricia Arquette and Roman Catholic priest Gabriel Byrne tussle as pawns in the shadows of some heinous, perhaps Divine conspiracy. Fairly intelligent and restrained, despite a plot that turns to vinegar by the finale.

2 stars (Good Try) Arquette, Byrne, and Pryce is a decent cast. Not a memorable screenplay but it did burn up the screen. ~Tubbs
